A side seal pouch, also called a three-side seal pouch, is a flat bag made by heat-sealing two plies of film along their edges. It reaches the customer with three sides closed, and the fourth side is sealed once the product has been filled.
Its simple construction keeps material use low and adapts easily to filling lines. It suits single-serve portions, sauce and spice sachets, sample packs and retort applications. The film structure is selected according to the product’s sensitivity to moisture, oxygen and light.
