A spouted pouch is made by adding a plastic spout and screw cap to a stand-up pouch. Consumers can use the product in a controlled way without spilling and store it by closing the cap.
For pourable products such as fruit purée, sauces, liquid detergent, fabric softener and drinks, it is a lightweight alternative to rigid packaging. It reduces transport weight and the space taken up by empty packs. The spout diameter and position are determined by the product’s flow properties.
